It  has  been  proposed  to  redevelop  the  three  major  existing  shopping  centers  in  the  area  on  Route  25A  ( Stop  &  Shop  Plaza,  Three  Village  Plaza  and  the  West  Center )  into  the  Setauket  Village  Center.  The  article  below,  which  appeared  in  the  October  9,  2003  edition  of  The  Village  Times  Herald,  provides  additional  information  on  this  proposal.
